Hi all
Does anybody know this condenser microphone
?
EM-123
Sensitivity -63±3dB (0dB = 1V/Pa, 1kHz)Impedance Less than 1.6k Ω
Directivity Omnidirectional
Frequency 20-16,000 Hz
Max. operation voltage 10V
Standard operation voltage 3V
Current consumption Max. 0.4mA
My friends bought only 2 pieces from a small Japanese electronic company not knowing much about the importance of matching two mics
. Two days ago I went to a heavy rock show to test his microphone.
EM-123 (in my ears) >Battery Box>TCD-D-8 (recording level 7.5)
Band; Europe
Venue; Osaka Kouseinenkin Kaikan, Osaka Japan
Date;April 20th 2007
Using the way too unmatched mics and setting a 7.5 recording level overloaded D-8
. But if I had set the recording level correct and used the low-cut filter, maybe I would have had more than a decent recording.
Is there anybody who actually used this microphone before?
Any info would be appreciated.
Just in case you wonder how this sounds, I uploaded Flac files of three recordings of the same song by three different microphones (two of them from the same show)
