Does anybody know this condenser microphone ?

My friends bought only 2 pieces from a small Japanese electronic company not knowing much about the importance of matching two mics .  Two days ago I went to a heavy rock show to test his microphone. 

EM-123 (in my ears) >Battery Box>TCD-D-8 (recording level 7.5)
Band; Europe
Venue; Osaka Kouseinenkin Kaikan, Osaka Japan
Date;April 20th 2007

Using the way too unmatched mics and setting a 7.5 recording level overloaded D-8 .  But if I had set the recording level correct and used the low-cut filter, maybe I would have had more than a decent recording.

Is there anybody who actually used this microphone before?
Any info would be appreciated.

Just in case you wonder how this sounds, I uploaded Flac files of three recordings of the same song by three different microphones (two of them from the same show)

This is the microphone I have used in my binaural microphones since the beginning of my company.. They are an outstanding microphone a frequency response of 20hz to 40khz.. +- 5 db or so not to bad... I do my 4.7 k mod to them to increase the SPL handing of the mic.. its a very good capsule.. If you want any tips on how to do that mod let me know. Matching them is very important part of getting a good balanced recording. Its funny more people have not tried these...

I am not a tech guy and will never be very soon.  But I would love to hear anything that could make a better recording with this microphone.  You always seem to be way far ahead of me.  If it is not too much to ask, please share that big secret with me. 
The price I paid for EM-123 is only a fraction of that I paid for other microphones.  Yet this omni-directional microphone can handle with higher sound pressure (the sensitivity;-63db) and capture a lot more bass and decent highs. 

So I have three sets of microphone now;
EM-123 (omni) 
AT943 (card & hyper card)
AT843 (card)
I read about matrix recordings and am interested in doing it myself.  Tonight I will mix two sources (EM-123+AT943 card) to see how the omni & card-configure works out.

Your preamp is on the way

I dont know much about blending omni can cardioid together but I would say a jecklin disk or some boundary between the two omni mics would be essential. I would use a Styrofoam dummy head like the ones you can get at a costume shop. Mount the em123 on ether side of it. That's all I can tell you.. I think your going to have to expairiment. And see what works best.

OK I mixed two sources using the latest version of Sound Forge.
It sounds great (at least to my ears) !!!  Now I would try to record with EM-123s and AT943s or AT853s if possible.

TDC-D8 is too big to carry around.  I bet the smaller degital recorder must be the next step to take

The sensitivity of a Primo part is -43dB while that of my EM-123 is said to be -63±3dB.

Last night I went to a Stevie Salas show at the local club and recorded it a few feet away from the band.

EM-123>BB>TCD-D100

The music was way too loud for a small club show but no brickwall.  It sounds very good to my ears IMO.
