Topic: SP-cmc4 vs 4U?

I'm about to pick up the CMC4's with Sbm1 bat.box. I went looking for specs, and it seems these have been replaced with the CMC4U's. (at852 vs 852U)

Are there any diferences in the characteristics of these two mics?

Oh, and does anybody know if the Core Sound MIC2496 preamp/adc can power them directly, perhaps with jumper changes?
