Title: My Rigged up shockmounts for MBHO actives

The mounts that come with the MBHO 603a's fit snugly down into the shure shockmounts. Makes for a pretty stable cozy fit. May be too big for running up front though. ::)

have you tried the dpa xy/ortf mount it looks like the mini connectors are about the same size as the 4022s, ther could be a weight issure with the caps but id be worth checking out if you see someone with DPA mount at a show

When I ran MBHOs I used to tape the mic clips together and run them through a single shockmount.  No need for a vert or horz stereo bar that way, unless you want to run XY (which I don't recommend with the MBHOs).

Depending on how deep the mic cap mini-XLRs were inserted into the mic clips, I could easily to set the spacing and angles to run ORTF, DIN or anything in between with a single, compact set up.

Hi Brian (and All),

I don't know if you ever saw the picture that used to be on our website but I put two of the MBHO active cable clips with capsules in one Shure shock mount like you are using. This way, you actually have a compact, shock mounted bar that holds both capsules and can be adjusted into numerous positions (ortf, etc...).  

You may find the Schoeps A20(s) is more secure (especially for two mics) though the Shure works quite well.

I tried using the DPA CXO4000 but the spaces are too small to hold the MBHO's with bending the metal.  Then, it looks a bit beat up.
