hey
so
I am wondering what pins of the XLR connector to connect to a 1/4 TRS connector to make a balanced cable?
[on my Fostex FR2-LE- it shows for the XLR 1 ground 2 hot 3 Cold]
how does this relate to the TRS?
my understanding is that the tip is ground or common
and Ring is hot and sleeve is cold
but I have no idea
IO figure some one would know better than me
in my quick search here on TS I did not find clear info
thanx in advance

Usual:
T = + Plus or HOT
R = - Minus
S = C or GND

Yessir, that's how I recall them being wired. What I know for certain is that the sleeve is ground.

I have a set of balanced TRS/XLR cables for sale. I've had them since I switched to the 722, but no one ever bought them.
