Title: Howler recorder+streamer
Post by: sic_tune on October 08, 2023, 04:03:34 PM
A small device that records unbalanced line-level audio signals to microSD or alternatively act as a USB audio interface:

It seems quite pricey for what it does, but I like the idea of a simple recorder with a very reduced user interface.
I can imagine it'd pair nicely with a Tinybox or a bigger preamp in case monitoring with headphones is required.

It seems to me that any new recording device now that does not offer 32 bit float is a bit olde worlde.  And even more so if it's targetted at live band use.  Hmmm...

seems to be larger, more expensive and offer less features than the numerous 2-ch handheld recorders we normally use.

its also not a "bit bucket" for lack of digital input

It is not a bit bucket. At least I do not see a digital input?

That's right, there is no digital in. I removed the term bit bucket from my initial post to avoid further confusion.
