Snakes!

Hi all,
Has anyone here made their own snake? I'd rather make my own than buy a friggen "proco" model from sam ash that's overpriced. I was thinking whirlwind, mogami, or canare - a stage box and a fantail. Doesn't seem too complex, just alot of soldering.
TIA.

it isnt hard, just keep your cables straight. i have a policy of working on one cable at a time- +/-/ground in that order from one end to the other. then i test before i go any further. then i test everything once its done and then time for burn in.
