Title: Help with recording settings on rockboxed iRiver h140
Post by: FotherMucker99 on July 25, 2008, 08:18:56 AM
Hey there!

I need immediate help, because I'm off for 'tallica in 2 hours!

My current settings on a rockboxed h140:

Volume: 0 dB
Gain Left: 18.0 dB
Gain Right: 18.0 dB
AGC: Safety (clip) 30.0 dB

How much dB do I have to set gain left/right to?

Is it OK this way?

Please help!

Ok, seems you are off for the show yet  ;D. Your settings of 18db gain and safety-clip activated should be ok.

I always start with +15db gain using my low-sens DPA 4061 or low-sens SP-CMC-8 cards.
Safety-clip lowers levels if clipping might occur, so don´t worry :).
I´m sure your did a great recording ;).
