A++ for Avantone Customer Service.
« on: July 25, 2012, 01:05:26 PM »
I've an old, well loved set of Avantone BSC1 mics, that Busman modded. They've been my goto mics since I bought them in the yardsale last year. Love them.

The brass ring holding the screen in place came loose on an Omni capsule. So I contacted Avantone about a repair.

Next day response, "Give us your address and we'll send you a new capsule, free. No need to return the old one."

Thanks to Glen at Avantone for great customer service.

Awesome. David said you were like The Wolf in Pulp Fiction. Shows up just in time with tons of gear, does a pro job, and disappears into the night! :-)

Hadn't thought about going that route for the O-rings.  I just picked up some #17 O-rings at Home Depot.  About $2.50 for a pack of 10, they do the job...

I hate it when people tell me its all good. it's not all good.
it's not suppose to be all good. it's suppose to be bad sometimes so you can enjoy the good parts."

If you lost them, you should buy new ones.
