I've got some ck91 actives on the way, and need a stand-mounting solution. I've read the prior posts I could find but they didn't completely answer my question.
I already have a Sound Pros standard T-bar. It seems to me the easiest thing to do would be to get some shock mounts and mount them to the t-bar. I see this mount on Sound Pros site; looks like a good price.
http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/SP-SHM-5 It says the minimum diameter is .5" The ck91 diameter is listed at .7, so on that front, it should be fine, I think - right? I'm worried that the caps may not be "deep" enough, if that makes sense.
I read the prior posts about making a homemade kwon bar. Honestly, I don't have much room to work with in my apt and am not very handy, so I'd be a little worried that I'd screw that up... Also, if these mounts work, they're not too costly, and if I changed mics in the future, they'd still be good to go.
Any thoughts/other options?
