Wavelab 5 - EQ'ing wind noise from 1 channel
« on: August 03, 2009, 11:51:26 AM »
I have been following other posts and thanks to all my fellow TSers, I think I am finally getting the hang of EQ'ing in Wavelab to reduce those frequencies responsible for low-end problems or wind noise.

However I am running into some issues with an outdoor Ween show I recorded w/ SP-C4 omnis. The problem is that in the right channel, the wind noise is way more prevalent than in the left. If I reduce both channels, it results in an unbalanced recording to my ears, to which I have to add gain int the right channel to even things out. If I reduce in the right channel only, then the recording seems too fu&*ed up. Is there any way to do this sort of EQ'ing w/o comprimising too much?

Try switching channels ...well copying the left channel and pasting over the right. If its in small areas this will help and still sound fairly good.
