Ever since moving to the Deva, I've been a huge fan of the "one box" solution. Of course it does have to be done right, and there are a few of these that exist (SD7xx, Deva, cantar, FR2 w/mod). Nothing like mics, box, and stand... Of course those who know me also know that I tend to carry around too much crap and it isn't always that easy, but...

The gear is definitely heading in that direction.  I can't wait till I can swing the cash to replace my UA-5/JB3 combo with a single box solution that can handle 24bits.  Maybe I'll be able to do this by the end of the summer...
