Connect Help Needed
« on: August 16, 2004, 11:54:08 PM »
I need a power plug for my FR-2.
Radioshack calls it a type "D" instaplug.

The industry spec. is EIAJ RC-5320A Type 4
It is 5.5 mm O.D.; 3.3 mm I.D.; and has a center 1 mm pin.

The Ratshack plug is a no-solder type for use with it's wallwarts.

I need either an integrated cord/plug good for 500mA  or  a solderable plug.

Does anyone have a good source for these ?

Thanks !

RS sells a short cable (6" or so) with an adaptaplug socket at one end and tinned leads on the other. I've put 1A through it w/o issue. If you want a more permanent fit, hot glue the adaptaplug into the socket.
Out of the game … for now?

I sourced out 25 pieces of solder-type soft shell connectors from a US vendor.
I'm selling off the extra 20 pieces at cost, if anyone needs a few.
PM me for details.
