youd want to check for voltage, which is a v, and also in DC power
you'll simply connect one end of the black multimeter to either plug and the red to the other, doesnt matter which way, it wil.l just read a negative number
I thought that voltage was consistent, while current is the facotr that fluctuates?

no problem, nope, voltages have an operating range, once the voltage gets to a certain low point, BOOM, shuts down, if current fluctuated, youre gear would not be running too consistently at all!
by seeing how much voltage a battery has, you could determine how full it is if you know the batteries well
my 7.2v batts FULL are about 8.1-8.2volts and they start to shut off the v3/jb3 at about the 6.5v mark!~
