So, I have a Kodak 2GB SD card in my Kodak camera. I've been using this card for for a while. I took a few pictures today and everything was fine. I took a couple more at a later time today, and the two pictures that I took were like a digital static on the LCD viewer. So, I tried to review the pics and look at em, and the camera tells me that I need to format the card and that the files are unrecognizable. So I put the SD card in a card reader, and it told me the same thing. Are my pictures gone for good?? Any chance of me recovering these pics with or without formatting?? Total bummer if I lost em all. Any help would be appreciated.

Depending on what the underlying problem is, this is worth a try:

I've had luck with it on hard drives that were supposedly wiped out. Again, it will depend on what is actually wrong with it. If the card is just erroneously telling the camera and PC that there's nothing there, you have a shot. (And then get a new card). If the files are actually corrupted then it probably won't work.

WOW!!! Got all my photos back.... family pics, animal pic, concert pics... including a low quality video acoustic Trey set...... just fantastic........ can't thank you enough man, I really appreciate the help! TS greatness at work again!!! Thanks Matt... 8) 8) :cheers: 8) 8)
