A Total Newbie Question
« on: April 18, 2005, 05:36:38 PM »
I'm totally new to the game and I am super stoked to start. I just Purchased some AKG-C1000 mics, a Edirol UA-5 modified and JB3 What I need to know is what else do I need. I know I need a stand, cables, etc. If anyone could let suggest a good mic stand and the cables I am going to need for this set up I would really appreciate it.

Thanks is advance!

Save cash and make your own XLR cables. All ya have to do is search and there is plenty of DIY post on cable building. As stands go try mic supply or a photo shop and check out the Bogen stands or light stands work also depending on your budget. Also check out the DIY post for power (ie: Batteries). Depending on where ya goin' to tape ya could use a rc, lion(wallmart), or SLA.
Peace
