Don't forget the case that Sound Devices makes for the 722.
It's very well made and fits the 722 like a glove.

no thanks, looks like a PB ripoff.  It is actually made by Camrade. Portabrace has been the industry standard for a while and they stand behind thier products.

For a minute there I thought you were talking about that case that comes in the box with the 722  ::)

Tony, here is what I'm running when I'm running wide open:

Here's Nicks setup which better displays how much supporting gear can be stored in the cairne:

Thanks for the pics fozzy. That is the bag I ordered last week. I was hoping it would have plenty of room; and looks like there is more than enough for me. +T

I like the cairn, bigger than necessary, but more space is never a bad thing...especially when it weighs nothing as this does and is still small

check the small eargonizer from Petrol   pegz-1 ( http://www.petrolbags.com/new_petrol_site/) - better then everything from PB , the 744 sits in the air so there is air flow under and the recorder doesn't come to hot . beside that its much better one :-)

Anyone know if the soniccase is made any differently than these portabraces?  I mean is one thicker than the other in terms of its durability?  Just trying to see what would be the better buy.  Thanks.

The pics are great!  Thanks guys.

I just recently got the Petrol PEGZ-1 bag and I have to say this thing is just about perfect for me (actives>M148>SD722). I can suspend the 722 so there is air underneath it and the mic bodies are in padding underneath the M148. I keep meaning to post some pix, but haven't gotten around to it. I will hopefully get around to it this evening. It's the same as the PEGZ-2 bag I had and posted pix to, but just a bit smaller!

I ordered through B&H Photo-Video. I have had bad experiences with them in the past, but this one went without a hitch! I guess I got the last one they had in stock, but I would guess they should be getting some more in soon.

I'd love to see some pics, Brad. This bag looks pretty nice.
