722 Help
« on: February 13, 2006, 06:50:21 PM »
Having trouble out of the gate with my 722.  Giving it a test run at home and I can't get it to record.  I did one test file, no problem it recorded fine.  Stopped that.  I've been trying to get it to run again, with no luck.  Is there a setting I need to reset?  Help is appreciated.

Weird.. What happens when you hit the rec button?  Nothing?

Power on, hit record and stuff should happen. If not, you'll need to call SD.

That is strange. I'd call SD first. Double check all your settings. What firmware are you using? Can you access the menus? Just can't record? Check all your other switches on the side too. Is it a digi in you tested? Line in? etc....

Edit:

Welcome to Team 722. I promise you won't be disappointed with the unit, the support, etc....all is top notch!
I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can

I reset all the settings to factory...no luck. I have the latest firmware 1.60.  I can do everything else on the unit, just can't record.  Double checked everything...just so random that it would work once, but not again right after that.    So geared up to break it in, and now it looks like I'll have to wait until a replacement is sent.  Form the minimal exposure I had to it I can tell I'm gonna love this thing...just wish I would've gotten a good unit out of the gate....rrrrrrr

sounds like it could be a lose connection on the button to the board.

Is phantom power on by default?  I can't remember.  Check that.
