I got lucky here at work we had a problem and had to shut down the turbines ,(closed cooling water pump trip) so I got a chance to run a test with the 1850mAh Nuon battery. Running a pair of JW mod 461's with the gain cranked to 50, using the low gain setting I wrote to the H/D for over three hours with back light on and head phones cranked. I wanted to do a worst case test with the small battery. Right now I'm recharging the tested battery and will probably call it good enough for now, as I'm sure of getting at least a fairly long second set using the afore mentioned battery.
+ T's and thanks
Best Regards : Phillip
I know its not hard to do at all, but changing batts inbetween sets kind of sucks. you have to turn the 722 upside down(which is kind of difficult in the AR-7 PB bag(if you dont hvae it in a PB bag its not a huge deal) but then you are messing with things and anything can happen. you can knock loose a cable or something to that effect and not know it until its too late. Once setup, I like elaving EVERYTHING as is, but thats just me
and thats a pretty darn good runtime with an 1850mah battery and the backlight ON. I bet if you turned the backlight OFF, you might be able to get a whole show with that one battery. I never ahd that good of a runtime with the backlight ON. I should write an email to SD and see what the current draw is with the backlight ON compared to with the backlight ON. i know they say 1amp/hr, but I wonder if that is with the backlight ON
I would think thats with it OFF. I know they claim 1amp/hr with PHANTOM ON, but would like to know what they have to say with the BL ON
the 7xx units KICK-ASS dont they? I LOVE mine and would like to get buried with it if it ever came to fruition
actually, no, id be a good taper and give it to a taper friend that i KNOW would get some use out of it when I was LONG GONE
and DAYUM Philip, thats quite a nice mic locker you have going on
i have a question for you thats off this topic's thread, but why do you have all those 4xx bodies
you need another all-in-one recorder like me
