i want to be able to take a sbd analog output signal and input into my ua5. i am going to pick up some high end rca's from the local car stereo shop, unless u guys think i should not, and then use this type connector incase a sbd doesnt have rca's but has xlr's.
input from the gallery please!?!?!!
-
those should do it.
-
I've run board XLRm > XLRf/RCAf adapter > RCAm cable > modSBM1 before just fine.
I think I have the Hosa XLRf/RCA adapters and I used Canare RCA cables. I think it's a fine way to go.

Watch your levels.
The output from a mixing board (pro gear) is hotter than the output from consumer gear. So be careful about overloading your input stage. Hmmm... Isn't the input into the UA-5 XLR?
-
the ua5 has balanced xlr's and unbalanced rca inputs, in theory you can run 4 channels through, sbd matrix anyone?

well, i just picked up some Tsunami rca twisted pair audio cables that are 17ft, nickel plated, and have silver solder connections. they were the best rca cables i could find. they were more expensive than the monster cables and look a lot cooler too. retail = 89$ my cost $34 :wink2:
-
where did you get that kind of deal?
-
emp disc at Ccity, heh .......huge markup in the car stereo dept.

(1) 2x1/4"f > 1/8" stereo mini
(2) RCAf - RCAf barrel
(2) RCAm - RCAm barrel
(1) 1/8" stereo mini - 1/8" stereo mini
(2) RCAm - 2xRCAf splitter

And...
Believe it or not, I've used it all at some point, often saving the night from disaster.
