PSP-2 Manual?
« on: June 19, 2003, 01:36:01 PM »
Anyone know where I can find a copy of the manual for the EAA/AETA PSP-2?  I know I can figure out how to work the thing without the manual, but it'd be nice to have.

Who's got my hookup?

Call Jamey at Masterpiece a/v, 1-888-462-7828. He should be able to point you to the link, if it still exists. I never bothered to print it. If you can't get it, here's what you need to know, from left to right:

power on
mic in
mic sens: -35
phantom:48
lo cut filters:off
gain:zero

There ya go. And NEVER, NEVER, NEVER leave AA's in the thing overnight. They will melt the fucker. Had a close call myself.

I figured that would be it... should be running it up front for mcpanic in Mobile next month if all goes well.  Most likely, it'll be between some 4022's and a 500e.  If you're the same marc I think you are, you should be familliar with this... any other suggestions?  Hopefully I'll be able to run it in the field before then just to get the hang of it.

Thanks for the info... +T

Very familiar with this setup. No issues, set the psp-2 as I suggested, and just adjust on the apogee. Running with internal AA's, you can get at least two shows, on 6v, FOREVER!!. I love the setup, hope you do too.

Have you tried it with some NiMH AA's before?  I'm trying to lighten my pack a little and am going to get rid of my huge 6v.

why run a pre at 0 gain??? is that just to color the mics??? seems weird that you would even need a pre and run at 0 gain..... ???

or, is it at a certain gain and no more is added....im confused.... ??? ;)but would LOVE to run one someday.... ;)
