Shocked no one has mentioned the 480's.  They smoke with the V3 and TJ has pulled some great 480 > 7xx tapes as well.

I enjoyed my Neumanns (140's) but without the active option the 480's really just sound better.

Caps are inexpensive and we all know the hypers rule.

I was so close to pulling the trigger on that one but I earmarked by b-day present for me in December is a pair of Schoeps so...
