just wanted to know if i was to tape from a show in the audience, what is the simplest device to use.  do the digital voice recorders do it justice or is the sound so terrible that it is not worth it.  i have notice there are several new products on the market that let you record anything and everything now.  is the new micro muvo n200 any good?  any comments on this would help.   i am trying to get started and just wanted to know how to tape from the audience in the simplest form.

The absolute simplest device would be a single unit containing mics, gain adjustment, recorder, etc., an all-in-one box - like the Muvo N200.  But - IMO - it'll sound like moose flop.  But if it sounds good to your ears, go for it.  After all, you're not making recordings for me, you're making them for yourself..  :)

What about the V4?
Governor Jim McGreevey was equally disturbed about the upcoming population increase. "New Jersey cannot support all of these wookies," he said. "For starters, we don't have nearly enough kindbud. At best, we can muster up a Q.P. of some beasties, but we've not a dime-bag more."

Actually, the absolute simplest device for recording the show is with pen and paper...and it won't sound like moose flop either.
