Topic: Choosing Clamps

I am trying to decide between these 2 clamps.  I am going to use it to anchor my extension pole to a theater seat.  I'll also be using it to clamp onto a railing.  I'm taping ABB at the Beacon and Gregg & Friends in Niagara Falls coming up soon. My choice would be for flexiblity in case the seat  arm is awkwardly shaped.

I have the avenger, can't go wrong with it.  There are always new ways to rig it up somehow

I have the Rapid Adapter.  Will it fit over the above pin without any problems?

fwiw I have a rowi mini-clamp and it is so lightweight but still strong.  Has the 1/4" thread on top.  I don't remember if you remember seeing it at the allmans at darien lake when that guy with the stealth mics clipped to it.  But depending on how long your extension pole is it should work, plus its a strong mofo, was able to hold my 391's/c1000's plus a vert bar no problem.

i have a cardellini 2M.  strong, huge jaw size(will clamp onto anything you come upon), but only works 90° to what it's clamped onto.

So you just tapped a thread into the metal housing?  What size thread - 1/4"?

Pretty sure it was 1/4"  There is a pre-existing hole that the small end of the stud will screw into.  I think it has the size beside it.  I'm at work and can't check mine at the moment.

Yup, mine has 3 threads in the same plane as the stud insert slot, all 1/4".  Thanks, Kevin!
