Just talked to the fine folks at Oade Bros while ordering my Tmod+ UA5.   

They indicated they have only 5 UA5s in stock and they don't have any prospects to pick up more units (discontinued, after all).  So, if you want one...or have been on the fence about pulling the trigger...note that they don't come up used all that often (though that may change as new gear hits the market)...and consider GETTING ONE NOW.

Just got an email from Oade saying that my wmod+ ships Monday.

The UA-5 is no longer listed on the Oade site at all now.

I got the 2nd to the last, a wmod+. It's funny because a few years back, I got the 2nd to the last modSBM1 that the Oade's had in stock. It's going to be LSD2>wmod+>d8 for me this summer.

i asked doug if he would continue to mod units he sold, he replied

"Hi!  Yes, I will continue to support the UA5s we sold for many more
years to come. Once we run out of them, we will not be selling new mod'd
units, but will continue do do MODS for a long time ! "

so for those of us who have em, we can add +'s or w, p, t.

great news indeed.  Thank goodness i got the paper work/receipt from the guy i bought mine from off of here.  i've been wanting to get mine modded....just havent yet.  comforting knowing i still can though.

The Oades log the serial #s on units they've modded, so even w/o the paperwork, you'd be okay.

LSD2>wmod sounds like a real nice combination. If I was getting new mic's I'd be considering this. Good Luck!

I think the LSD2>wmod+ is going to be a killer set-up, easy to run, easy to pwr and a consistent stereo image...Plus I'll be able to knock any drun wooks over the head with the LSD2, that thing is very weapon like.

FYI, they told me that they're about 4 weeks behind on bench work.  So, if you plan on sending your Oade purhcased UA-5 in for an upgrade don't plan on getting it back for a month + ship times.
