One thing I just thought of, though...if you go from rec monitor to rec/pause, there might be a hiccup when the tape is loaded rather than passing the signal through the whole time. Unfortunately I don't have two decks to test with...

yeah, I thought of this myself....I have pretty much decided to put off a test run for me with a V3 (strictly to see what it sounds like) for another show...much easier to run my current rig since I can have 2 seperate outs going simultaneously through the Mod SBM1.

Thanks all for the input!

would any local type stores carry an AES/coax cable?  I assume i could get a coax splitter from rat shack if I wanted to try that....

a little iffy to split the coax signal. just need to find an xlr>coax female that you can plug a standard coax into. music store might be a better bet, I couldn't find the xlr>coax piece at ratshack.

Get a patch bay and run signal from the coax V3 into it...that way there is always a deck rolling....

when Moke let me borrow his V3, i ran 3 outputs simultaneously:

1. AES1 to Sony PCM-2600
2. AES2 > Canare imp. transformer > s/pdif > maudio 2496
3. S/PDIF > Sony PCM-R500

i made 2 master dat dubs and a direct transfer to my hdd.

after a few hours of usage, i found that the V3 jumped up on my "wishlist" of toys!!
