Well my mind is pretty much made up, but what do you think I should buy since I sold my TL's.
It will be running in front of m248 > AD1000(until I go 24bit)

480s :)

If they had actives I would consider them.

Open, easy (no patdown) stealth, or difficult stealth, or what combination of the bunch?
-
Panic & Phish FOB mostly or rare stealth. Sorry I posted in the open forum...

if it were me, i'd get the neumanns if i was only looking to run cards but i'd get the schoeps if i wanted to get additional caps.

Just as well, keeps me on my toes. :) Posts like this are borderline, but...I figure why not move it over here - there may be some good feedback coming (though not from me) and others may want to review it later.

Oh. In that case, don't bother. :P Actually, I basically agree with Nick.

Yeah, I would need hypers(supers) come fall. I dont like the AK50's as much as the MK41's.

no u89s? I'm pissed!
right now, my ears are really enjoying schoeps in the small-diap. world...
-
I voted for the soundfield.....just cause I think the thing is waaaayyyy cool. :P I've heard this thing make some amazing tapes! I don't think it would be the best choice running FOB as you mentioned though. In that case I'd go the 140/50 route.

if you need hypers come fall and are doing FOB, the mk4, kc5, cmc6xp is the way to go. as far as hypers go, the mk41 is the best IMO.

I was trying to go small, but the soundfield and U89s are the only big mics I would try to get FOB. I didn't put B&Ks on my list either...

sounds like you've already sold yourself on schoeps (which isn't a bad thing at all)

love the ck63, but full body is a pain, second choice for hyper cap, mk41....as Schmepz owners like to say, "it's not a hyper, but a "supercard". don't really like the ak50, a little bright and flat for my tastes.
