Hi guys, sorry for what may be a loaded or lame question. I am about to tape my first show and I have everything ready besides one question about the battery box. The inside of the spsb-11 has 2 rows of 4 small switches. they are numbered 1-4 in each row. Basically what are these? I personally know no one who records and no instruction on this so I am just wondering what I need to know about them for a relatively loud show? Thank you

Found this in another thread - it is the bass roll off settings:
desired Roll-off Frequency These switches set to the “open” position
16Hz (no roll-off) 2,3,4
69Hz 1,4
95Hz 1,3
107Hz 1,3,4
160Hz 1,2
195Hz 1,2,4
888Hz 1,2,3

I would suggest to NEVER use Bass Rolloff/HPF at the show. You can EASILY do that in your post production in your editing software ;)

really? so I should just not bother with the switches and that won't hurt the recording and editing will level everything out?

Make sure the switches are set to OFF so there is NO HPF being used. If it ends up boomy after the recording, you can EASILY take away the boom in post production ;)

I guess I have the same box laying around somewhere...to have no bass roll off.... the switches 2,3,4 should be in the open position...right or wrong...look at the schematic

Yes, do the same thing in both rows. Each row of switches applies to a separate channel on your stereo recorder. You usually want them to have the same roll-off.
