How do these compare price wise? I'm thinking a nice pair of JW's should be worth about 750ish. A mint pair of 480's around 1100ish. Does that sound about right? Thanks.

That price on the 480s is way high. 480 bodies with ck61 caps routinely come up in the Yard Sale for a grand or less, so bodies only - no more than $700 or so.

I was just going off new. New 480 bodies are 799 each, from the sources I checked.

stock 460 bodies fetch about 350+ here... add in the jw mod (175/mic) about 700... which is close to the going rate for some 480 bodies (800-900)

personally, if i was going to spend more than 850 on used 480 bodies, i would look into getting them new via boxymusic.com and they will come with a ck61 for 450ish/each

I thought that $8-900 was the going rate for a used pair of 481s. The pair of caps should fetch $250 at least used so I'd say $550-600 for the 480 bodies used.

I think that's about right for a pair that is good condition.  $400/bodies and $350/mod.
