DIN vs. DINa (re mk41's)
« on: November 21, 2008, 09:17:39 AM »
Hey now,

So I recently purchased some mk41's to add to the collection.  I also snagged a DIN and DINa Kwon bar, and was wondering what differences, sonically, I can expect.  I'm assuming the low end response will change....any experience/suggestions.

Thanks much,
-bry

not much.
if you can really discern a difference of 3cm you've got awesome ears.

I ran a pair NOS for the Black Crowes FOB in the HOB. Sounds real nice. I am sure they will sound nice with the MME.

3cm is unlikely to effect the sound from anything other than close mic'ing (unless you have playback equipment and ears much better than I have) but if you are clamping, it never hurts to leave a smaller footprint. If I could have only one bar, it would be DINa.

I run DIN sometimes and DINa sometimes just so my text files vary to make it look like I know more about what I'm doing than I really know.    >:D
