Storage solution for AKG Active Couplings and Caps?
« on: September 26, 2013, 09:42:02 AM »
Hey everyone,

Now that I have my Naiant AKG Active couplings and one set of caps (with a second set definitely on the horizon), I'm looking for a good way of storing and transporting them.

Anybody have any good suggestions?  I know there was talk about the Pelican Pick'n'Pluck foam having the potential to kill the electronics so I figured I'd ask before I buy something.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!

I have used test strip containers. They have desiccant built into the lid. Get a tiny anti static bags or some anti static foam to line the inside of the drum container and you are in business. They are about 1 inch by 1 inch.  And should fit your capsules.

I personally use an otterbox 1000 lined with bubble wrap.  Side note, the CK 1X pair now live in little plastic bags (w/ desiccants) inside their otterbox lined with foam.

I just sent some free old 35mm camera roll containers to acid jack or you could have had them Adrian! I felt lined the sides and bottom and had a small amount of foam for the top of the cap so that don't move around AT ALL. I would suggest doing the same, since that's what I used to do with my ck6x and mbho caps ;) the containers are just like the ones CC posted a pic of above ;)
