Title: AC power 4pin XLR cable for EdirolR-4pro ?
Post by: montanamon on October 28, 2014, 01:45:58 PM
Was hoping and wondering if any of our resident cable pro's has put together any AC power supplies for the R-4pro which only offers the 4pin XLR for a direct power plug-in? I have (4) 9v batteries and a 4pin XLR cable that makes that connection possible but I am in desperate need of someone to put this together for me. Contacting Roland has been a lessen in futility as they haven't been able to help.

I apoligize in advance if this thread has already been addressed specifically - i did find the thread(s) that addressed making your own and different battery options for the R-4pro but i thought i would just cut to the chase and ask, lol.

Any ideas for an easy AC power supply plug in would be greatly appreciated or someone being able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks in advance to whomever has an idea or could offer (for the cost they choose) to build it - or better yet already has....

The R4-Pro will run on volatge between 9-16v.  You would need to get a wall-wart with that volatage and solder on a female 4 pin xlr, pin 4 for (+) pin 1 for (-).

Contact me if you would like me to build it for you.

I have made these using off the shelf 12v walwarts that can be had off ebay for ~ $15 new
