I have the possibility to get 2 different Senn.MKE2 mics.
Both with jack 3.5 mm.
How can I do to connect them with my Tascam DR-2d? With a simple cable? I don't think so.
I need a power unit/battery box or so?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Alberto.

You will need something like the Sennheiser MZA 900 P (http://en-de.sennheiser.com/mza-900-p) which will then enable the microphone to be powered via normal phantom power.
The Canford Audio also do something similar with their Electret Microphone Adaptor 3.5mm (http://www.canford.co.uk/Products/61243/20-769_CANFORD-ELECTRET-MICROPHONE-ADAPTER-3.5mm-jack).
If your recorder will not provide 48V phantom power, you will also need a battery phantom power supply.

If you like it simple cut the connectors and solder the cables to one stereo 1/8 mini jack. Then get a simple 9v battery box for a few bucks and that's it. Looks like this:

great mics - like them a lot over the DPA mics...

You will have lots of problems soldering the cable of an MKE2 as it's made of steel and not copper.
You will need a very hot soldering iron and really know what you are doing to do this without melting the plug.

Thanks to all for the infos.

I had no problems at all with soldering the mics, they work fine...

Then you are either very skilled or very lucky.
Soldering steel cable is quite different from soldering a copper cable.

Make sure they are both the same model of MKE2. There have been quite a number of different ones.
