Stand/T mount question
« on: October 21, 2004, 01:51:49 AM »
Hey guys, thanks for the feedback on my last question.  Anyway, I'm looking to get a stand and a T mount for my giant squid mics.
Will these 2 go together?  In other words, do I need anything like an adapter to be able to connect this stand with this T mount?

12' ft.  Bogen/Manfrotto 3336 light stand
Attachment: 5/8" Stud with 1/4-20" tip.

Also, will my squids just clip onto this T mount?  I can't tell by the picture how they connect.

Thanks for the help.

those windscreens just have a hole in them for the mics to slide into them. i had that setup with my at933's

that stand will work, but it is pretty beefy for just those small mics ;) you might wanna look into something that isnt so beefy (unless you plan to upgrade to bigger mics)

you will need an adapter for the tbar to attach to that stand im almost positive. i cant remember the size on the adapter right offhand, someone will chime in

when i ran my dynamic audio mics on a stand i just used a normal mic clip, a long flat piece of metal and taped it to a normal mic clip.  it did the job.  i dunno tho, maybe you want it to look more professional.

Because nothing says "I have lots of money and am sort of confused as to how to spend it" like Bose.

I believe you will need a 1/4 to 5/8 adapter for the top

what he said ^^^^^

But you will prolly need 2 adapters, one for 1/4 to 3/8, one for 3/8 to 5/8.  I've never seen a 1/4 to 5/8 adapter.
