Topic: Clicks and pops...help needed

so ive been having problems with clicks and pops in my recordings. makes the tapes unpleasant, not unlistenable, but not spreadable. rig is in signature line. i think its probably a 24/96 issue. ive run at 24/96 sucessfully many times, but suddenly ive been having problems. i did a test in my room with loud music and didnt get it (although in general these dont start to show up until a little while into the show). im using wavelab 5 to record. i hope this is a buffer issue, and not a hardware one  link has a sample of some of the noise so you get the idea (show is duo set during bb kings tsunami benefit the other night). thanks guys!

Have you defraged your HD?

everytime i tape i run a "cleaning" regiment - virus scan, spybot/adaware, disc clean up, defrag, before i go out...so thats not an issue.

forgot to mention: flac is a 24/96 flac...

I can't speculate what it is but I'm sorry to hear it happened during THIS show. Was there other tapers? I say try running 24/48 and see if you get repeats. I would have also mentioned defragging but it seems you did that.

When do you want to try that FTP? Tonight?
