Question...
« on: May 27, 2007, 01:39:32 PM »
...so, I taped Mule Fri night.  Transfered the show from jb3 to my pc.  Went back to listen at how the 481 NOSish...or was it ORTFish??) > V3 sounded outside.  Not too shabby.  But, while listening to the playback...I have noticed lots of digi noise present (sounds like little pops of static).  Not sure if it's on the jb3 or not at the present.  Will go listen in a min to see if it's present on that.

If so, anyone have any ideas/suggestions as to what it could be.  I'm very reluctant to track the show out.  As, the noise is basically from start to finish.  Sucks too, I was digging the show and want to relisten to it.

I was in the process of downloading/decoding a show from trader's den while I was uploading the Mule to my pc.  Would that have had any affect?

Thanks in advance.

very well could be.  I don't do anything and shut down torrents etc while transferring to pc.  however i kind of doubt it unless you have next to zero ram.  sounds like a bad opti cable or something.  or have you cleaned off and formated the jb3 lately??  only time I've gotten pops etc was when it needed formated.  now I do after every show or two.

First step will be to see if it's on the JB3. If it is, it's either a loose or bad optical cable. If not, re-transfer and you should be all set.
