Attenuator help!!!
« on: December 10, 2003, 01:00:19 PM »
I just realized that I don't have an attenuator on my XLR > RCA adapter.  Can I use a radio shack one till I buy a better one for reducing the signal to my D8?  Should I get a better attenuator?  Anyone know of a -10,20,30 I can buy from a consumer store? I'm taping Ray's Music Exchange tonight from a board signal.....

Why am I spending so much time at Radio Shack?

Thanks

Brian

You're running line-in and still need the attenuator?  Ouch.  The attenuator you listed is intended for headphone volume control and, IMO, sounds like moose flop - I've used one with my headphones before.  Ugh.  Have you tried your local music gear shops?  They may have XLR attenuators available on hand.
