Ideal setup for recording via soundboard
« on: June 28, 2007, 06:52:34 PM »
after a summer of doing some semi pro video stuff and my km140's sitting in the closet I have decided to sell my rig km140>wmodua5

i just need to be able to record of the sbd for when I don't have anyone to help out with sound for the gig... would there be any certain preamp/recorder that would work will best ???  would be cool to be able to do 24bit....  and ditch the jb3 but don't want to spend to much since it will only be used when i have to which hopefully won't be to often

Just sell the 140's.  board>wmod ua5>powerbook g4 or >R9 or PMD660?  Just a thought.

Yeh...easy.  Sell the 140's, keep the wmodUA5, and your favorite recorder and you're golden.

board>UA5>recorder.  Simple.
Socks are overrated.

And if you keep the UA5 and get some cheap MC012s or something, you can make some killer matrix tapes.

Definitely keep the UA5 and your recorder.
