Where'd you buy them? Some places charge them before shipping.
Do you have a VOM?
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

Hey Alex:

Do you have a Volt Ohm meter? They are cheap and invaluable in my opinion for check things like continuity and batteries.
When my 12 v SLA's are full, they read around 13 v.
Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.

Are they 12 v or 6 v.
Do they have 4 pin XLR ends?
Pin 1 is negative for both. Pin 4 is positive for 12 v.
Don't know about 6 v.

If they read read at or above rated voltage you're prob good to go.

The voltage reading on an SLA will NOT tell you if it's fully charged by just putting the meter across the terminals.  DC voltage must be measured under load for a somewhat accurate reading.  With that I would hook up the deck, pre, whatever is being run and run it...THEN check voltage.  As was stated if it's a 12volt somewhere around 13 volts should be fully charged.

Again...check voltage under load cause it might look fine when it's not powering anything but then you get the show and plug in your pre...uh oh!

I built this thing a while back. It is a 12 v -9 v regulated converter and battery tester. In the picture on the left hand side is the panel mount input connector.

Pin 1 ground 12v
Pin 4 + 12v
Pin 2 ground 6v
Pin 3 + 6v

Unfortunately after researching this, I've found that Oade and Eco-Charge use diffrent pin-outs for DC connectors.

Oade 6v =
Pin 1 Ground
Pin 2 Hot

What Swanny posted is the pin-outs for the Eco-Charge system.
The Eco-Charge system pinouts seem to  be the standard most used.
