The slingbox

now this thing is pretty cool....dont know how long they will be able to offer it without encryption as it could be a hell of a tool to take an unencrypted signal and send it anywhere, but I may need to get one.  Very sweet when traveling and want to see a local game or the like...basically it takes your tv service out of your receiver box, packetizes it, and makes it available to you through the internet, so even if you are 2000 miles away, if you have a high speed connection you could watch your local programming, or movie channels that you have already paid for from your satellite/cable provider...neat stuff

There's a thread about the PSP in the open forum where similar items such as this have been discussed.... paging MacDaddy.... pertinent discussion begins here: http://taperssection.com/index.php?topic=42698.msg798673#msg798673

I think these things look pretty awesome too.  I think the main difference between slingbox and location-free is that location-free can hook to a wireless network (maybe?)?

Tickets are dead to me.  Except the ones I have, don't have, and lost.  Not to mention the ones you have, don't have, and lost.   And the ones that other dude has, doesn't have, and lost.  Let me know if you need some tickets, I'm happy to oblige.

location free attaches via lan. but if you have a bluetooth enabled network, you can also stream to your psp...

you still need a dedicated directv box, too...
