Title: anyone still do DAT repair/alighnment?
Post by: dr.ph0b on March 07, 2008, 04:21:22 PM
gave my old Teac DA-P20 to a buddy that runs sound at a little mountain music cafe place to record the acts and turns out it sounds like the heads are out of alignment or something. (cuts in and out, and also ate one tape)    Does anyone still work on those things?  I actually got it serviced back on '94 by teac for the same thing but thats when they still were in production. Ive tried to contact them but they haven't gotten back to me yet. Any suggestions would be welcome :)

I have used Paul before in the past and I'd take what he says as Bible, which is unfortunate in your case.
