Title: Recording with the Zoom-H4..

Hello, i'm new here and i had a question about the Zoom H4.

March 18 i'm going to record the band: The Cure in Rotterdam. Now i had a few questions for members who are known with the H4.
- What does phantom power means?? and is it good to use with recording?
- How can i smuggle/sneak the large device inside?

I've searched on this forum threads about smuggling, but could't find any helpfull information. So if there's already a topic about smuggling please give me the link!  ;D

People don't openly talk about how they "sneak" stuff in.  I don't have a H4, and am not familiar with methods with a recorder of that size, but maybe someone can drop you a pm and help you out-  Good luck

edit:  as for phantom power;  are you just using the internal mics on the H4, or do you have other mics?

external mics into a preamp into zoom-H4 line in: NO phantom power.
external mics plugged directly into Zoom-H4 mic in: Phantom power :)
