Title: What's the current value of a used Schoeps CMC6/MK4 stereo set?

I know Schoeps prices have recently increased...and I've seen some pairs sell on Ebay for $3k, but is that normal?

I'm looking at a mint matched set, nextel grey, consecutive serials, and am just wondering what's the average, what's on the high side, and what would be a steal as far as prices go.

I dont know if this helps but.
CMC6's on ebay have been going for 600ish
mk4's around 4-5 hundred

IMO it's tough to say. what about accessories. does it include shockmounts, wooden box, screens, etc? that stuff sounds negligible, but at schoeps retail prices they are far from it IMO. windscreens cost $125 a pair new, shocks are over $200 a pair.

A few weeks ago, I sold a US Stereo Set CMC64ST, complete with the wood box, shock mounts and windscreens for $2,600. I thought that was a fair price and given the interest in my listing, I suspect others did as well. The set sold in less than 24 hours of the listing.

Good luck with your search, you will love the Schoeps. I only sold mine because I have stopped recording.

I've used schoeps on projects several times before, but am itching to actually own a pair of my own.

I think I've just tracked down a set for 2200...
comes with the bodies & caps in the wooden box, but that's about it.  No accessories.

Still a good deal I thought though.  They look mint.

that sounds like a good deal. IF you trust the seller and you've got the dough I say go for it.

Yep, he's a regular over on Gearslutz, and is pretty known there...so I believe he's a trustworthy guy. 

The trigger has been pulled!  LOL, I should have them soon.

50% - 90% of new prices, depending on age, functional and cosmetic condition, seller's motivation, etc.

Sorry, I missed your follow-up post.  If it's a true US Stereo Set, that's a mighty fine used price.

CMC 64 ST
Two each - CMC 6 amplifiers, matched MK 4 cardioid capsules, A 20 (or A 20 S) elastic suspensions, and B 5 popscreens
