Anyone have one? What kind? Do they duplicate any DVD? how can you duplicate dvds that may be longer?
-
[guess]
they dont use software, so you can probably only make an exact copy of a data dvdr as opposed to a store bought/rented dvd.

If you want to
copy backup store bought DVD's try these programs:
dvd shrink
dvd decrypter
Both are free and a google search will find them.

Go to the website "videohelp.com". Lots of info there, players, recorders, media, software...
As for (free) software, you should run:
dvd decrypter: copies dvd to disk
dvd shrink: writes to dvd media
the decrypter program is payware if you want to use it to write, but otherwise free
dvd shrink used to copy well, but recent dvds have more nonsense on them, so you need decrypter.

Hmm. That looks different than the program I used, called "DVD Fab Decryptor". I'm guessing someone stole the name and inserted "fab" into is when the regular Decryptor checked out.
Trying the original dvddecrypter version now. Looks like it is choking on a newer (Disney, lol) movie. My guess is the newer movie is using some newer junk called "ARCCHOS", and you might have to use the FAB on it!

I use several programs including the ones previously mentioned. If you have DVD Decrypter than you should use "rip it 4 me" for those discs with extra junk on them. It works with DVD Decrypter as the burning engine.
