Post by: aleal5687 on March 18, 2008, 05:38:12 PM
I recently picked up a ua5 on ebay.
I have NO skills to do the digimod myself.
Looking for a kind soul to help me out.

PM me if you can help.

thanks

You can also call/contact Chris @ Busmanaudio (www.busmanaudio.com). He can turn your stock UA-5 into a magical sound box.

I'm in Atlanta and would very much like to have my UA-5 digi-modded before Mule gets here Aug. 9. Would someone be willing to help me get this first step done (with the Busman mod to follow at a later date)? Will gladly compensate.
TIA,
Mike

(edited so as not to sound like a freebie request)

I don't know Marc Kim and that sounds like a good thing.  ;) I am, however, still groveling for help with a UA-5 digi-mod.

You should really be able to do this yourself and/or with the help of your local music store repair tech. I made the cut on the board myself, but I don't have a soldering iron small enough for the jump, so I just took it down to my local music store and the guy did it in about 2 minutes for free.

Thanks for offering, Brian!
Kevin Lowe very kindly stepped up to help me with this and the UA-5 is already on it's way to Huntsville.

oh, and btw, those silver cables I bought from you last year sound gorgeous and are bulletproof.
