Title: microtrack II dropping spdif and now completely dead, 1 week, not even used.
Post by: snoknight on March 20, 2008, 06:54:29 PM
so i am using my mt II from my V3. (new firmware ver 1.01 chipset.)
running my II  from the internal batt, the spdif source is valid. runs perfect.
when i plug in the usb power it looses its valid source.
all combos of firing it up result the same.
anyone run into this?
how do you gents running coax into the mt II from a V3 use an external batt for the mt II and still have valid source?
also does this thing always start a new charge when dis then re-connected?
what is the favored external batt?

I have plugged and unplugged my MT II with no problem.  I use it the same way you do.  Yes, it always starts a charge when you plug it in. I have use two different external power sources.  The macally and socket mobile power pack.

Well it turned out to be a shielding issue...
or so i think. >:(
I bought this from a pro audio store that i subcontract work for, no less than last monday.
it was properly charged, right off the bat, and i have had it in the home studio since.
it has always been plugged in, the battery never discharged.
got it out to take it to the mother hips... NOTHING!!!
no anything.
Fortunately i bought it locally, and they have a killer 30 day return policy.
I love the idea of the MT II, but for all interested in this product.

the skeptics have reason.
