Title: REM Soundforge woes
Post by: youngsbest on March 25, 2008, 05:19:26 AM
Hi.  I set up my tuner and computer to record the fm broadcast of REM at the Albert Hall last night, line in to Soundforge. Unfortunately I had some family commitments I couldn't get out of so I had to start recording at 7pm for a broadcast that was meant to sart at 8.30pm. Got back at 10.20 pm, and checked the PC and found that it it stopped at just over three hours.  So I got an incomplete recording. Have processed files of over two hours before, with no problems.

Can't understand why it would have done that.  I had 12gb free on my c drive, and when I clicked on the record button, it started to record again, but by then I had missed some songs.

Looked at all the preferences/options to see if there was a max file size setting, or stop after 3 hours, but couldn't find anything.

I would be very greatful for any advice about this.

Thanks
