Title: NEEDED: Mini T-Mount for SP-CMC-4U
Post by: insanescott on March 26, 2008, 10:58:59 AM
Anyone know where I can get a T-mount attachable to a standard mic stand that will fit SP-CMC-4U(Audio Technica U853) mics?  I wasn't very pleased with the options that Sound Professionals had as they seemed to cater more towards large mics.  I dont need a huge mount for tiny mics.  Thanks for any suggestions.

There are some really small sound pro mounts.  I think they have more small mounts than large ones.  Other than SoundPro's, you might try going to home depot and get creative!

The 12" Soundpro one I have fits with small condenser mics.  The AT943's fit loosely, but my MM's or the 853 caps fit snug.

Soundpro sells two different mounts for the U853s,I just orederd a set yesterday, with a 7.5" t-bar. Not sure what else you'd be looking for other than these..

Just got my u853 mounts and t-bar today. Very, very nice. The mics fit into the mounts snugly and securely, and them stems in the back accomodate the cables perfectly. The mic mounts swivel up and down and left to right. Very cool.especially for the little bit of money they cost (and are actually an AT product). It was the "combo" t-bar/ mounts at the top of SPs "mounts page".

I have this mount too.  Ran it last weekend in an open setup.  Compact, easy to put together quickly, and produces great results.  Highly recommend it.
