Title: Crossfades in Wavelab???
Post by: chrisdavis on April 02, 2008, 10:24:01 AM
sorry if theres already a topic for this, i searched and didnt see anything...

so, ive got a dat with cut encore.  ive downloaded another source off the archive, and i need to crossfade (patch) the new source on the end of my cut source.  I know how to this roughly with CD Wave, or even Wavelab, but any advice on a nice smooth, seemless crossfade?

thanks TS....Cd

Hey Chris!
In all Wavelav versions you can do it easily by crossfading the WAVs (or whatsoever) files in an audiomontage.
Just open a new montage.

-create 2 stereo tracks
-import the different files that you would like to crossfade
-adjust the position
at the end render the file in a new WAV. Done.

It sound more complicated than it is. :)
Take care.

Hey Chris!
You can also do it in a single file:
Just open woth WAVs. cut one.
Then mark the position where you would like to paste it in the other file.
And then use the crossfade from thedropdown menue.

I just did it once this way.
The other way is much more accurate.
Hope that helps.
