Title: Audiophile 24/96 soundcard external setting error

Hi, I have been using the audiophile 24/96 soundcard with vista and usually cep2.1 to record and edit.  just recently the external setting stopped working, all i get is a the red flashing 'unlocked' signal and constant hiss through the speakers when the DAT player is connected through spdif coaxial.  however, play back through 1/2 inch connections works fine.  any help would be great.  thank you!

there is no input monitoring from spdif
