I bought a ck8 on ebay which turns out to be DOA.
I've got 2 460B's, two reducer rings, and another ck8 that works.
I paid like $120 for the working ck8, $180 for the DOA. $300 for a
pair seemed like a good deal to me.
Seller has offered either a return / refund, or I can keep it for
1/2 price.
My knee jerk is to take the refund, but thought I'd run it by y'all....

contact Richard Land at Land Audio
he is AKG's only out of warranty service tech
I had him refurbish my 451EBs last year
he has very fast turn around, but he isn't cheap
so you may want to keep looking for another one

i would return it, unless r land can fix it for the refund amount. ck8's appear frequently on ebay.

If it is the diaphragm that needs to be replaced then Richard will not be able to repair it unless he just happens to have a spare one lying around. Good luck
